•Weather
The weather is almost guaranteed to be perfect. A minimal possibility of rain in Sorrento in the Summer period. Obviously we cannot 100% guarantee against rain, however, we can help you prepare for the possibility and check the forecast for you close to the day to be sure.

•Festivals
In the summer there is plenty going on around Sorrento. In the various small towns surrounding the city there is generally some kind of festival going on. Whether it’s the snail festival in Montecchio (not everyone’s taste, but interesting all the same) or the eggplant festival in Monte Faito there is something for everyone.
•Beach
Sorrento is situated right on the beach. It has really top class facilities for sunbathers. The water in the Summer is refreshing and clean. You can top up your day in preparation for the big day, as, of course can your guests.

•Cost
Summer is the most expensive time of the year for everything in Sorrento and the surrounding area. Consider that flights and hotels will cost significantly more than they would at other times of the year.

•Availability
It is very important to book your locations well in advance for the Summer period as the availability of the Town Hall, church or restaurant of your preference cannot be guaranteed at short notice.

•High Season Crowds
If you do decide to celebrate your wedding in the Summer please bear in mind that Sorrento is a popular tourist destination. Expect to see a fair few tourists and some extra traffic.
The real crowds can be avoided by having your celebration in Massa Lubrense, Seiano,  and some other smaller towns in the area which are also quite beautiful but which see far fewer visitors than Sorrento.
